KEEP ON TRUCKING

               In today’s economy most households are a 2 to 3 car family in some
cases even 4, So that means families are keeping automobiles longer and longer.
 What used to hand me down clothes now hand me down autos. We all laughed at
my owners youngest son. I saw my boss’s 2002 F150 driven Ford tough by him for
several years, I started in 2010 and he was driving it then. Well in 2014 it got a
facelift and some new shoes and then the oldest son adopted this little fellow at
16 years of age,
But wait we’re not done yet. The youngest son adopted the trusty steed in 2017
with a little internal makeover and it’s like the little energizer bunny it keeps going
and going.
           The point is, it is possible to keep a vehicle longer than we did years ago.
New tires, brakes, and regular maintenance will surely help.

Summer's Coming

(Summer's Coming) Getting Ready For The Road  This past weekend my bitter half and I .. Oops I mean my better half and I hit the road for a couple's weekend retreat, It was a small one 500 miles round trip. I put My old trusty steed the gas hog in the garage and decide to rent a small compact economy car . That sucker got 28.9 mpg i think it only held 12 gal though..  Anyway enough of the ramblings of an old man..  When I picked it up the tire light was on and no washer fluid. So that got me thinking . How many times do we hit the road without checking the small stuff? No Bump No Grind Why Change Struts When They Ride Fine

 This is a question we all have heard after recommending replacement of the your  struts and/or shock absorbers on a vehicle. This recommendation is usually made based on a visual inspection of your vehicle's suspension components it could be your shocks , struts or the front steering system. Most Manufacture's recommend that you replace shocks and struts at around 100,000 miles or sooner depending on the driving conditions of your area, coupled with the driving style of the principle driver, will determine how long these parts will perform satisfactorily.
