I'M A LITTLE TEAPOT


WHY IS MY OIL LIGHT ON? When your vehicle warns you of an oil problem, what looks like an old-fashioned oil can will illuminate on your dashboard. If the oil light comes on while you are driving, get to a safe place and turn the engine off immediately. It is important to stop driving your vehicle because you may have run out of oil. That could lead to a break down, putting you and other drivers at risk. Testing your luck and driving with your oil light on can also cause extensive damage to your vehicle’s engine.

Just last week I had a young driver come into my shop with the above indicator on..
I asked if I could help them and was stumped by the response.. Why is the teapot light on..teapot light???  Yea this thingy  here.. So from a teapot light to a finger pointing at a thingy I determined the low oil light was on..I checked the oil and it wasn't showing on the oil dipstick..I got the vehicle topped off with the correct type of oil and even showed them how to check it…
So don't wait for teapot light to shine. Come on by Triple T Tire we can save you a dime..

Summer's Coming

(Summer's Coming) Getting Ready For The Road  This past weekend my bitter half and I .. Oops I mean my better half and I hit the road for a couple's weekend retreat, It was a small one 500 miles round trip. I put My old trusty steed the gas hog in the garage and decide to rent a small compact economy car . No Bump No Grind Why Change Struts When They Ride Fine

 This is a question we all have heard after recommending replacement of the your  struts and/or shock absorbers on a vehicle. This recommendation is usually made based on a visual inspection of your vehicle's suspension components it could be your shocks , struts or the front steering system. Most Manufacture's recommend that you replace shocks and struts at around 100,000 miles or sooner depending on the driving conditions of your area, coupled with the driving style of the principle driver, will determine how long these parts will perform satisfactorily. During the inspection, we  will be looking for signs of fluid leaks that indicate one reason to recommend replacement. we  will also look at how the tires are wearing. These parts are designed to control the tires, to keep them in contact with the road surface as much as possible.
