I still remember the awe and wonder growing up in small town America anxiously awaited the jolly old elf and his bag of gifts Christmas morning . As I got older the Christmas spirit seemed to give way to other things that I deemed  more important at the time, Although it was still in the back of my mind it wasn't as prevalent  as it needed to be. Let's think about the real spirit of Christmas We celebrate it as the birth of Jesus Christ but Bible history can't pin down the exact time period. The shepherd's tending their flocks might indicate the spring lambing season as if it was during the winter months  live stock would be corralled, I am a firm believer that we should celebrate the birth of Jesus everyday not just one day a year.  In my humble opinion Christmas is about giving,  helping those less fortunate than us.
