A SEASON THAT NEVER CHANGES
We are in the middle of August summer is winding down and school is back in session,
fall is just around the corner with old man winter trailing not far behind.
I've seen every type of vehicle and customer in my 35 + years of working on and being around an automobile, I've dealt with every type of customer known to man A pessimist, optimist, delusional and one that after years of faithful service they trust your opinion and judgement.
We here at Triple T strive to be the best and give you the best service that is humanly possible. Vehicle repair is based on knowledge first and foremost but then follows theories , testing and diagnostic work. each test as you all know is a step by step procedure. let me give you a couple of examples , #1 an 2007 F250 came in with a brake issue(locking up after 15 minutes of driving), we had replaced calipers rotors and pads a year ago, So naturally we replaced the same brake components under warranty. problem solved right. Not a chance. So after step by step testing on the hydro boost , master cylinder etc we learned what to do that fixed it. problem solved customer happy. this was my optimist customer, always a joy and pleasure to deal with. Now comes the flip side, the pessimist ..A customer comes in brake pedal going to floor .. You can pump the brakes they will hold and then sink to the floor. That was the complaint from the customer, myself and my tech both drove while the customer was here and yes that is what was happening. The whole time .. you do know what you are doing right? you are brake specialist right. I myself have ASE Certs in 4 areas brakes being 1 of them and My Main Tech has 5 Certs . So I said yes we are certified . So we put a master cylinder on finally got the brakes to bleed and it was ready to go , Well when the customer picked up the vehicle the brakes once again was going to floor. Now I drove it after repairs as well as the mechanic that worked on it, and everything was doing good. BUT yes it's the B word, the customer failed to tell us someone else had been working on it. On this type of vehicle if air gets in the lines then you have to bleed the abs system with a scanner. If we had KNOWN that another person had been playing on our playground we could have adjusted . The whole situation of course made the customer even more negative, even after showing them notes and situation symptoms from other shops. Hey you can't win them all right? Last but certainly not least
we have the delusional customer. I was working as a tech in the shop and was performing an inspection on a vehicle I was servicing, A strong odor of fuel hit me so I raised the vehicle up and saw gas running out the side of the tank, The customer said well I'm gonna trade the car in so ill just wait... fast forward 8 months same vehicle comes in with same fuel leak and this time brakes metal to metal..Well I'm gonna trade in it next week so we will wait. Yep that is the customer base . The season of customer's that never changes . Another thing that will never change is the service that you receive here at Triple T . We promise to always give you our undivided attention, along with a caring attitude. If you need anything call us and tell them Ronnie B sent ya.
